diet coke

I wish I liked Diet Coke. I don't like it though, and I probably haven't even had a sip of it since I was about.....12-13 or so. I simply can't stand the taste! Maybe my tastes have changed in 11 years or so, but I've been hesitant to test it out. I just figure that if you're going to have a coke at all, why not go all out? I did go look at the back of the can just now to see what the differences were, and Coke has 140 calories and 39g of carbs as opposed to Diet Coke's 0 calories and 0g carbs, but they forgot to include that Diet Coke also has 0g of great tasting flavor whereas Coke has 7,000g.

But it DOES look cool to type about having engaged in Diet Coke drinking activities, as Julie so eloquently does here:

Why do you have to make it sound so fun, julesdwit? Why?!

you just have to go for it. and eventually your taste buds change. no one who likes diet coke liked it at first. but, eventually, coke will taste gross.

in the beginning, drink in a cup, with as much ice as possible. somehow, no one knows how, it makes it better. or start with zero or splenda dc to ease your transition.

my office is full of hard core diet coke ladies. can you tell?

Our office keeps the largest stash of Diet Dr Pepper and Diet Coke I've ever seen. There is only one person who drinks the regular. You really should go for it!

And on a related note, I was suffering major Diet Coke withdraw Sunday night (I had gone without for about 24 hours) and tried to get Justin to run to the convenience store up the road during Grey's, but he wouldn't budge. :(

I can't stand Diet Coke either. I have tried the Coke Zero and it was "ok". Are going to be at the wedding tonight?

Xanga isn't working right now, so I have to reply on my blog.....Yes, I'll actually be playing at the wedding tonight. Woop Woop!

Cool. I actually didn't try Coke Zero. It was some other one that was like Diet Coke but had some calories and tasted better. BTW, when Xanga comes back on line check your comments. Hopefully there will also be some new features when they bring the servers back online.

Xanga is back online!!! Although, comments are not appearing so they must still be installing some of the servers that archive them.

I used to only like Dr. Pepper. When I would dream about moving to New York, my parents would say, "But Julie, they don't have Dr. Pepper up there," and I would seriousely reconsider fulfilling my dream.

And then all of a sudden it was too sweet and Diet Coke tasted the best.

Can't explain it, must be Diet Coke's wee beedy eyes, they put an addictive chemical in it that makes me crave it nightly!

Hey Becki, did you know that your blog about diet coke and the other one about phenylalanine are closely related? Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid found in aspartame. It is also the precursor to tyrosine, a building block of dopamine. Ok......who wants to hit me with the "nerd bat"?

I don't get it. But, diet coke isn't my favorite although I will drink it.
