big, big tex

Today is going to be our first ever "annual, morale/team building work fair day (except 2 of our employees aren't allowed to go)," and we're about to leave in a few minutes. We were worried about the possibility of a rain-check....literally, because of the glorious rain that fell for hours this morning, but it has stopped and should remain stopped for the rest of the day. Plus the temperature is actually below 5,000ยบ F, so we felt that getting out of the office was a necessity.

Thanks to our Dr. Pepper cans and the subsequently reduced admission, hopefully within a few hours I'll have stuffed one of these into my pale, pale face:

Thank you, Texas.

Please get the fried coke and tell me what it's like... that sounds so disgustingly good... especially if it's Diet Coke -- but then, that would defeat the purpose of fried.

I could not bring myself to get the fried coke. Is 13 pounds worth 7 tickets?

jenni,

at my annual fair gang fair outing, fried coke was had. i was all for it but i could not do once i looked at it.

it was basically coke-batter-donut holes with coke syrup on top of it and powdered sugared. the ladies i was with seemed unimpressed. except for one. a miss teri hebert, and once she ate up all of the doughy goodness everyone started chanting, "drink the coke," referring to all of the syrup at the bottom of the coke. which she subsequently did, and it was awesome ... and gross.
